Volunteers from the Scientology Community Centre Dublin brought drug-prevention education to the Clondalkin Festival in Ireland, sharing factual information with families, young people and local residents in a busy community setting.
The activity, described by organisers as a day of meaningful conversations, placed the subject of drugs in a constructive and accessible context. Volunteers distributed educational booklets, answered questions and spoke with visitors about prevention, resilience and informed choices.
The initiative formed part of the wider Truth About news eugene Drugs programme, a secular educational campaign supported internationally by Scientologists and community volunteers. Its materials are designed to provide clear information on drugs and their effects, helping individuals make informed decisions.
The Church of Scientology supports this campaign as part of its wider social-betterment work inspired by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, whose writings placed emphasis on education, personal responsibility and practical help for society.
Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, said that such initiatives reflect civic responsibility in practice. “Drug-prevention education is most effective when it is brought close to people, in places where families, young people and neighbours already meet,” he said.
